Janelle Brown LMT, CNMT is a graduate of the Colorado Institute of Massage Therapy (CIMT) and Fairmont State University. She is an instructor of Anatomy, Trigger Point Therapy, and Neuromuscular Physiology courses at CIMT. Janelle has a Bachelor's in Exercise Physiology; she became intrigued by gait when working on her undergrad research project which compared the impacts of barefoot v shod running on lactate levels and heart rate. She's continued her education with advanced biomechanics courses and cadaver studies.
Her passion is enabling people to see the connections between the way they move and the injuries they experience. When pain is no longer a mystery, action can be taken to rehabilitate movement patterns, improve function, and prevent future injury. She helps clients recognize abnormalities in their gait and posture. From there, she creates a rehabilitation plan to build strength, stabilize joints, and relieve Trigger Points.
Janelle has a variety of hobbies from piano to unicycling, and she has a habit of reading multiple books at a time. When she's not working, she's likely off on an adventure with her husband and their teenage dog.
